I usually visit Madrid in the cooler months and enjoy the cooler air and the warmth of the colour of the buildings.

The Mercado de San Miguel is a fascinating structure, especially at night.

I was also inspired by my photographs of the lobby of the Opera house and tried to capture the lighting and reflections, using collage and transparent acrylics to build luminosity with details in ink.
