Poole & Bournemouth, Dorset

I’ve settled in Dorset and love living by the sea. As well as an interest in the nautical side I like the buildings of the old part of town in Poole and the Art Deco architecture of Bournemouth, particularly in wet weather when the reflections from the pavements add a further dimension to the image. 

For these paintings I have used various washes of dark colour until I get the depth which I'm aiming for. I use collage to sharpen the detail in the picture and include human form to enhance perspective and bring the paintings to life.
